Project Completion: Infectious Waste Management Improvement for Cambodia
Futurebud International Co., Ltd. has successfully completed the installation of small medical waste incinerators and the construction work of foundation and sheds at 29 hospitals across the Kingdom of Cambodia as part of the “Infectious Waste Management Improvement Project.” Training was conducted for each hospital, and the equipment was officially handed over to the Ministry of Health.
While the public healthcare system in Cambodia, particularly in the capital city Phnom Penh, has been steadily improving, disparities between urban and rural areas remain. In particular, there has been a lack of adequate infrastructure for proper medical waste disposal at healthcare facilities. This project has contributed to enhancing the waste management capacity of the targeted institutions and addressing this critical issue.
