Contract award for "Agricultural Equipment" for the Cook Islands
Futurebud International Co., Ltd. has been awarded a procurement contract worth 38.38 million yen to supply agricultural equipment under "Japan's Grant Aid for the Economic and Social Development Programme (Fiscal Year 2024).
The Cook Islands consist of 15 islands, with the most remote island located approximately 1,300 kilometers from the capital. Except for Rarotonga Island, where the capital is located, the remote islands face development challenges, and the agricultural sector is affected by declining productivity due to an aging workforce.
Through the provision of agricultural development equipment, this project aims to support agricultural development in remote islands where development assistance is difficult to reach, improve agricultural productivity, and thereby contribute to the economic and social development of the Cook Islands.
